This is sooooooooo true. I remember when ANY gold item would sell just because it was gold. You could get like 10k for the most trashiest gold.

Everyone was like everything costs too much we need increase drop rate so we can afford more stuff.

Anet cater to the whiners and increase drop rate.

With increased drop rate the rarity of gold items increases drastically.

Before you know it not even some perfect items/mods are sellable.

GG. At least I have made more gold than I even know what to do with before all this crap increasing off drop rate got out of hand.

Sucks to be needing to make gold now.

Most gold items I aquire go to heroes or the merchant. I've never been lucky enough to get many great golds drop...even before Nightfall. One thing that shocked me (although I kind of expected it) when Nightfall came out was the fast that EVERY weapon was 20/20, +30HP, 15^50. It's so boring and just because they have these 3 mods on people appear to believe they're worth leet money. A while back I wanted a nice gold spear...just a gold spear I wanted to mod myself...all I got were people trying to sell me 20/20, +30HP, 50^50 spears wanting uber-leet money for them, and I had to keep saying "NO!"...same with bows a while back...all I wanted was a vampiric bow of defense...but apparently those mods don't exist any more >.<

Bring back varety.

Since the launch of NF, I've sold everything to merchant except items that I know won't take much time to sell.

Inscriptions & increased drop rate ftl - from trader's point of view.
